FAQ
Q. Is this platform all talk?
A. Talk first and action next. The goal of The Natural Contract is to uncover meaningful ideas and then to pass those ideas on to stakeholders of all types, including governments, corporations, foundations and private individuals in the hope that they will be both heard and acted upon.
Q. I want to help, how can I?
A. Firstly, thank you so much! We need all types of help. We’re looking for qualified people to help us moderate the platform, ambassadors to spread the word and encourage dialogue, and those who can present the ideas uncovered here to an audience capable of acting on them. Please get in touch by clicking the Contact Us link at the top of the page.
Q. How do I report inappropriate content?
A. We strive to limit all content that fails to live up to our goals of creating decentralized, world-changing ideas. This includes content that states “facts, statistics and numbers” without a source, content that attacks others, or sub-categories that are not formed as questions with the good faith goals of fostering meaningful discussion. If you notice suspect content, please let us know by clicking the Contact Us link at the top of the page.
Q. What’s Albatross Designs and how is it connected to The Natural Contract?
A. Albatross Designs is a green design and product company focused on creating solutions to the world’s ecological crisis. Our team designs all types of things from solar power systems to living roofs and plastic free shaving razors. We pondered The Natural Contract platform (with a shout out to inspiration from Michel Serres and his 1990 book The Natural Contract) and thought it meaningful enough to give it a go and build it. We don’t profit from The Natural Contract and hope for it to one day evolve into a successful, user supported organization akin to Wikipedia. For now, our small team is doing its best to keep things working smoothly. To that end, see the previous question and if you’re interested in helping us we’d be most appreciative!
